Book Uploading
- Image file types including jpg, jpeg, png, gif can be uploaded.
- Multiple files can be uploaded at a time.
- Maximum number of images can be uploaded per book is 300.
- Each image file can be as large as 2 MB.
- Images larger than 2000×1500 pixels will be resized to fit this limitation.
- In order to use this feature, log-in is required.
Book Rating
- A user can rate one time for each book.
- The stars of a book indicates its average rating.
- In order to use this feature, log-in is required.
Book Commenting
- A user can comment a book as many time as he want.
- Word limitation for each book comment is 500 words.
- Basic emoticons can be put into comments by typing related text presentation.
- In order to use this feature, log-in is required.
Book Suggestion
- In each web page of one book, other “related books” are suggested to the readers.
- Related books are shown based on their names, tags and authors.
- No log-in is required to use this feature.
Flash Book Reader
- Flash Book Reader is the main application to display book content on MahShelf.
- In most cases, users have to switch to full-screen mode to read books properly.
- Another way is to choose the option “Enlarge in new window”.
- No log-in is required to read books with this Flash Book Reader.
Favorite Book
- A user can favorite each book for one time.
- Favorite list is opened by clicking “My favorite” on the user-panel at the top right of most pages.
- In order to use this feature, log-in is required.
User Profile - User Account
- A user has his own User Profile page as soon as he finished registering.
- To edit Profile, access “My Account” on the user-panel at the top right of most pages to go to User Account page.
- User Account page is similar to User Profile page, but with additional edit options.
- Uploaded books can be edited/ deleted in User Account page.
- Books in Favorite list can be deleted in User Account page.
- Users can put comments in each other's Profile.
- Profile comments can be deleted in User Account page.
- In order to edit User Profile, log-in is required.
